Architects Design Mobile Podcast Studio Using Flexible Mirrored Dibond ACM

The Pod, Fathom Architects, Charcoalblue, dnco, Sweco, Box Deluxe, Mirror Dibond In London, a powerhouse team completed a stunning mobile podcast studio coined The Pod. Fathom Architects in collaboration with Charcoalblue, dn&co Design Consultants, Sweco UK M&E Consultants and Box Deluxe Construction, completed the project in 2017. For their client Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan, Aimco, the team designed a movable, temporary structure to be used for both podcasters and musicians. The 226-foot modular studio seats six people and is constructed with state-of-the-art recording technologies. (more…)


Suspended Sound Installation Uses Uniquely Laser-Cut Dibond Panels

Tessel, David Letellier, LAb(au), MediaRuimte, Roger Tator, Dibond Tessel is a collaborative kinetic sound installation by French composer/artist David Letellier and Lab [au], an electronic arts studio. The suspended installation utilizes intricately folded Dibond aluminum composite sheets integrated with audio transducers. The Dibond was laser cut into 40 triangles, 12 of which were fit with motors and eight with the sound transducers. (more…)


Tron Inspired Dibond Playhouse Constructed By Architecture Students Raises Funds For Non-Profit

Toy Factory, Parade of Playhouses, New Mexico Appleseed, University of New Mexico School of Architecture and Planning, Dibond New Mexico Appleseed is a nonprofit organization responsible for the creation of the Parade of Playhouses, an annual design event aimed to raise funds for hunger, child malnutrition, family homelessness and poverous families in New Mexico. The nonprofit was instrumental in passing legislation for children to receive free and reduced meals in local schools, which has proven effects on student academic performance. (more…)

Artist Krista Svalbonas Explores Her History With Architecture Using Dibond

Artist, Krista, Svalbonas, Sculpture, Using, DibondIn another installation by the “Migrator” artist, Krista Svalbonas, the focus is on the Logan Fontenelle Housing Project from the New Deal. In the series the artist further explores her history as a child of parents who immigrated to the United States as refugees from Latvia and Lithuania.
