3A Composites USA has expanded its PRO Series line of graphic display boards featuring enhanced printing surfaces with Sintra® ECLIPSE – a next-generation graphic display board designed for the easy production of graphics that pop on a black PVC board.
HEB Grocery is a San Antonio-based chain that operates its franchise mostly in the Texas, Mexico area. The chain commissioned Ion Art to fabricate and install a series of multi-purpose signage materials for the brand in its San Antonio stores.

The joy of the late eighties came alive with a simple handheld video game device known as the Nintendo Game Boy. The 3.5” by 5.8” frame made the device the first handheld console in the Nintendo lineup resulting in a cult-like following and a wildly popular product for the video game company. A few decades later, and many new product releases, an engineering nerd with a dream, threw it back to the original game set.
The ad messaging for the premium denim brand, Diesel, turns heads with their “Be Stupid” campaign. The imaginative campaign called for elaborate displays using 3A materials, specifically black Sintra PVC Board to create a large, nostalgic VHS tape display.
Sintra® Material, an expanded PVC sheet product, can be cut using common methods for plastic materials. These methods include, knife cutting, sawing, and routing operations. Shearing with a guillotine shear is generally not recommended.
The Richmond, Va.-based International Mission Board (IMB), an entity of the Southern Baptist Convention, was formed in 1845 as the Foreign Mission Board and today serves virtually every country in the world. The IMB’s rich history and global reach are apparent in the décor of the headquarters offices, which feature several permanent displays.
Sci-fi enthusiast Cris Knight built a costume using Sintra expanded PVC board for the Comic-Con convention in Las Vegas. The character “Bender” from the popular animated television series Futurama, written and designed by Matt Groening, was the inspiration for the costume.
Designers at Vector Impresion Digital in Medellin, Colombia, stepped up to the challenge of creating 12 larger-than-life Reebok athletic shoe displays last fall with the help of Sintra® graphic display board. Twelve images of Reebok athletic shoes – each measuring approximately 14-feet by 5-feet – were displayed from September through November 2010 at all entrances to the Santa Fe shopping center in Medellin, inaugurating the opening of the new mall and highlighting its Reebok store tenant.
When 3A Composites USA launched its “Legends” marketing communications campaign in 2004, company executives reviewed a wide field of internationally recognizable graphic arts icons to be recreated in print advertisements with one of the company’s leading graphic display boards, including those in the Sintra®, Dibond®, Gator™ and Fome-Cor® board lines. Choices included everything from the Eiffel Tower in Paris to New York City’s Statue of Liberty and Charles Lindbergh’s Spirit of St. Louis transatlantic record-setting airplane.
