Artist Creates Uncategorized Exhibition Capturing Memorable Moments of Hip Hop Culture

Chi Modu is a Nigerian-born artist whose photography has gained global recognition. Given the opportunity at a young age to stay in the states, while his parents remained in Nigeria, he was given a unique sense of independence and self-awareness early on. After his college career at Rutgers, he got a job at The Source, which was the definitive magazine for hip-hop culture at the time.

Art Installation Replaces Ugly Wall On A London High Street

Across from Waitrose Car Park on Balham High Street in London is what locals call the “Ugly Wall.” In an attempt to “enliven the streetscape” an artistic motif was proposed to be placed on the wall in a three-year art installation. The artist, Tod Hanson, used a series of architectural motifs as his creative approach. The work depicts the historical identity of Balham in an eye-catching visual display.

Australian marking firm, Rodney Robertson & Associates were commissioned to design high-impact displays for automotive giants, Mitsubishi and Mercedes Benz. The displays needed to exemplify the brands not only in the content featured but also by the use of superior quality substrate materials. Visual artist Stefan Venbroek created this beautiful illustrated collage for the Radiotherapy Institute in Arnhem (ARTI) in the Netherlands. The artwork was intended to showcase the building’s natural surroundings and also feature the names of the hospital's various departments, which are named after animals.

Tamera Lawrence has always loved circles. “Circles resonate with me; they’re never-ending,” said Lawrence, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based graphic designer and the self-described “ringmaster” of Mobile Whimsy™ Greeting Cards. Each card in the contemporary Mobile Whimsy line features a mini mobile comprised of three circles vertically placed and decorated with witty wordplay depicted on one side with graphics and printed on the other side with words. In Mobile Whimsy-speak, a message of affection reads “Eye Heart Ewe” and is visually depicted with corresponding graphics.
