Earlier this year we received news that Birmingham based interior and architectural design studio SCULPT, in collaboration with STEAMhouse, a local center for creative innovation was developing an installation made of DISPA® with the goal of testing DISPA’s capabilities and unique properties.
DISPA® consists of a patented embossed formed paper core that is laminated on both sides with bright white, smooth paper surfaces – a unique composition that makes this paper board lightweight yet extremely rigid, strong and dimensionally stable. Signs created with lightweight DISPA® stay flat yet are easy to handle and hang. Manufactured with 100 percent Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®)-certified paper (FSC-C074317), DISPA® is fully recyclable. (The FSC is a nongovernmental organization operating in more than 80 countries to facilitate responsible forest management in accordance with social, economic and ecological needs.)
3A Composites USA is pleased to announce that DISPA® graphic display board – a uniquely laminated structure of embossed formed paper that is 100 percent recyclable – now is available in the Americas.
DISPA® will be showcased at the 2019 ISA
International Sign Expo April 24-26 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in
Las Vegas. Show-goers are invited to stop by the 3A Composites USA Booth No. 1327
to view DISPA® samples.
DAVIDSON, N.C. (Feb. 13) – The Oxford Museum of Natural History received nearly 100 proposals from artists asked to create contemporary art to coincide with the museum’s temporary exhibition entitled “Settlers: Genetics, geography and the peopling of Britain” (https://oumnh.ox.ac.uk/event/settlers).
The selected bold style of contemporary artist and graphic designer Ian Kirkpatrick (www.iankirkpatrick.ca) would serve in sharp contrast to the Victorian neo-Gothic architectural design of the museum founded in 1860 in Oxford, England.
Graphics, displays and signage are a vast part of visual communication in our environments and therefore place a significant impact on sustainability practices. They enable our day to day communications in grocery stores, retail shops, homes, schools, and way-finding systems. With such a large reach, society has come to expect and place its trust in organizations to ensure the public’s safety and behave responsibly and sustainably.

All rigid substrates are not created equal.
That’s the philosophy adhered to by employees at Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Agio Imaging, a large-format custom print solution provider, when determining the best rigid substrate for graphic displays. When PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is deemed the best solution for creating interior signage, Agio Imaging turns to Sintra® graphic display board by 3A Composites USA. (more…)
