Clint Baclawski, Pink Church, 2014
Clint Baclawski is a Boston-based artist whose series of light integrated works take his background in photography and visual arts to new heights. Baclawski received his MFA in 2008 and currently works at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, the only free standing public school of art and design in the country.
At 1,776 feet tall – a height designed to pay homage to the signing of the Declaration of Independence – New York City’s One World Trade Center is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. Featuring an iconic design comprised of eight elongated isosceles triangles, the 104-story office tower built adjacent to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum is topped by the One World Observatory and a 408-foot tall spire.
Design Dynamics, California signage and print specialists, recently completed the exterior signage on a historically registered building in Los Angeles. The project was a difficult one, requiring new signage to be applied to the classical architectural marvel. The signage was required to not damage the building, or permanently alter it in any way.
Previously, Emily Randolph’s mixed-media art pieces were for indoor use. Due to popular demand by her clients, she created a series made exclusively for outdoor exhibition. The ‘ICE’ series is split into two collections: “DESERT ICE” and “ZEN ICE.”
In a massive global rebranding program, the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer, Piaggio, established a new presence throughout the UK. The powerhouse manufacturer Piaggio encompasses iconic brands such as Vespa, Gilera, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi. The company rolled out this rebrand called Motoplex throughout the UK with the help of corporate signage manufacturers, Tara Signs.
There were a number of factors that dictated the initiation of the revitalization of the Rookes Alley and Castle Street Subways. A major contributor for the redesign was the mounting pressure from local authorities to improve air quality and encourage walkability within the city.
Ian Kirkpatrick is a Canadian-born artist who moved to the UK in 2008 where he began his graphic design and contemporary art career. His works have been featured on an international scale from New York to Berlin galleries. Unlike artists who often choose a single, or maybe even a few mediums to work with, Kirkpatrick utilizes a wide array of materials from corrugated cardboard to stainless steel.
There is a distinct sense of pride created when honoring a community’s local heroes. To memorialize local war heroes for Armed Forces Day in 2015, the ‘Walk of Heroes’ was created as an annual celebration for the community. UK print specialists, The Color Company, worked closely with Birmingham’s Westside Business Improvement Distinct to create the unique series of outdoor Dibond displays.
The Sign Chef, an on-line custom sign company based in Charleston, S.C., boasts more than 170,000 worldwide clients including retail stores, corporations, professional offices, universities and hospitals.
Tessel is a collaborative kinetic sound installation by French composer/artist David Letellier and Lab [au], an electronic arts studio. The suspended installation utilizes intricately folded Dibond aluminum composite sheets integrated with audio transducers. The Dibond was laser cut into 40 triangles, 12 of which were fit with motors and eight with the sound transducers.
